March 2023 Central Committee Meeting

March 15, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

About SacCountyGOP Meetings

The Sacramento County Republican Central Committee meetings are open to Committee Members, Alternates, and Associates with 25 open seats for invited guests. The agenda is set in advance by the SCRP Executive Committee. Since participation in the Committee meeting is reserved for Committee members only, guests are encouraged to discuss their ideas in advance with a committee member (view the list of members), or to send their comments to info@saccountygop.com.
No recording devices are allowed during the meeting, including phones. Photos/videos will be taken by representatives of the SacCountyGOP only. Thank you!

The Sacramento County Republican Central Committee meets on the third Wednesday of the month. Meetings begin at 6:30pm. We do not hold meetings in July or December.

As 25 guests have RSVP’d to attend, the meeting is now closed to additional guests.  Be sure to sign up early for the April meeting!

The March agenda will include a review of the CAGOP Convention held March 10-12 in Sacramento. We will also discuss plans for the April 3rd Education Town Hall with Lance Christensen and the April 13th Dinner with Congressman Kevin Kiley to benefit SacCountyGOP.

GOP Club Presidents are invited to provide an update on their activities and to let SacCountyGOP know how they’d like to work together to support our candidates in the 2024 election.

What happened at the February meeting?

The Committee unanimously approved the appointment of Ian Jasiewicz to fill the vacancy in District 4. This seat was held by Kevin Bassett who resigned when he moved to a position at a public agency.

Candidates for CAGOP Central Valley Vice Chair Lisa Moreno and Craig DeLuz addressed the Committee talking about their plans should they achieve the position. Delegates at the CAGOP Convention will select the Vice Chair who will represent the region on the CAGOP Board of Directors.

A panel discussion on education issues featured Lance Christensen and School Board Trustees Jen Laret, David Reid, and Craig DeLuz as well as SacCountyGOP School Districts Committee Members Mona Graham, Kimberly Kennedy Woods, and Thomas Silva. The Committee plans to host an Education Town Hall with Lance Christensen (CA Policy Center) in March or April.
