About SacCountyGOP Meetings
The Sacramento County Republican Central Committee meets on the third Wednesday of the month. Meetings begin at 6:30pm. We do not hold meetings in July or December, unless there is a special need.
Registered Republicans in Sacramento County who registered to attend in advance may observe the meeting. The sign-up link will be available in December.
The January agenda will include a discussion of plans for our Feb. 13 Presidents Day Dinner featuring Fox News Contributor Steve Hilton. We have tentative plans to have the top 4 Republican candidates running for US Senate at the meeting. Those invited must have officially qualified to run (certified list will be determined in late December) and have met fundraising levels that distinguish them from the larger pool of candidates.
What Happened at the November Meeting?
The Central Committee unanimously agreed to elect Danielle Jolliffe to a vacancy in District 5. Danielle previously served as the Alternate for this seat.
Chair Betsy Mahan reported on the successful Harvest Reception, hosted by Nina Caron in Gold River and featuring Howard Jarvis Taxpayer Assn President Jon Coupal and Senator Roger Niello. Mahan also announced that the next fundraiser will take place on February 13th featuring Fox News Contributor Steve Hilton (see Hilton’s message to SacCountyGOP below).
The Committee heard a briefing on the Special Election results and congratulated San Juan USD Board Member-Elect Manuel Perez on his victory. This changes the balance of power on the school board which bodes well for parents, students and faculty who are ready to get politics out of the classroom and back to the basics.
All were invited to support Move America Forward, a non-profit that provides care boxes to deployed soldiers. Learn more at this link.
