SUMMARY:June 2024 Central Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:About SacCountyGOP Meetings \nThe Sacramento County Republican Central Committee meetings are open to Committee Members\, Alternates\, and Associates with 25 open seats for invited guests. The agenda is set in advance by the SCRP Executive Committee. Since participation in the Committee meeting is reserved for Committee members only\, guests are encouraged to discuss their ideas in advance with a committee member (view the list of members)\, or to send their comments to info@saccountygop.com.\nNo recording devices are allowed during the meeting\, including phones. Photos/videos will be taken by representatives of the SacCountyGOP only. Thank you!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Sacramento County Republican Central Committee meets on the third Wednesday of the month. Meetings begin at 6:30pm. We do not hold meetings in July or December\, unless there is a special need. \nRegistered Republicans in Sacramento County who signed up in advance may attend the meeting. \nThe June agenda will include some early endorsements of local candidates who are planning to run in November. Most endorsements will take place in August.  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What Happened at the May Meeting? \nThe Committee filled two vacancies including Jackie Rigard in District 2 and Councilman Rich Lozano in District 5. \nCandidates for local school board races addressed the Committee and all were unanimously endorsed. \nTreasurer Christian Forte announced that a Committee Member had requested to review SacCountyGOP’s financial records. Records will be made available to view on Tuesday\, May 21\, at 10am at headquarters. All Committee Members are welcome to come and learn about our finances at that time. \nThe Committee approved an amendment to the Bylaws that clarifies it may not be assumed that Committee Members have personally endorsed all Republican Party-endorsed candidates. We recommend all candidates obtain approval for any actual or implied endorsement in advance of listing an individual’s name or image on their campaign social media or website. \nBarbara Sloan reviewed the list of upcoming events\, including the Sacramento County Fair and Bob Blymyer reported on the successful Republican Booth at the AutoRama. \nChair Mahan reminded the Committee that over $10\,000 needs to be raised to cover costs of the Republican Booth at the California State Fair. SacCountyGOP has always hosted the State Fair booth at Cal Expo\, in addition to their own County Fair. Republican County Committees and Organizations throughout the State are encouraged to support the Republican booth and to provide volunteers. Donors are listed on the State Fair webpage and are much appreciated. \nNina Caron reported that there will be a virtual training on the Election Observer process provided by the CAGOP on June 5th at 6pm. Sacramento registered Republicans may participate in the training on Zoom. Sign up at this link.

SUMMARY:Debate Watch Party
DESCRIPTION:Gather with friends and cheer for President Trump!\nSacCountyGOP is hosting a Debate Watch Party & Potluck! \nBring your favorite dish to share and an adult beverage if you want more than water or soda. \nOur room is at capacity! \nWe look forward to seeing everyone who RSVP’d on Thursday! \nPlease arrive by 5:30pm – Debate starts at 6pm\n\n \n \n \n \n \n As reported in the Epoch Times: \nCNN has announced new details of its finalized rules for the first presidential debate of the 2024 election cycle. \nThe network revealed on June 15 that the debate will last 90 minutes and will include two commercial breaks\, during which the candidates will not be able to interact with their respective campaign staff. \nNo pre-written notes or props will be allowed\, but the candidates will have a pen and paper so they can take notes during the debate. \nThe candidates will appear at a uniform podium\, with a coin flip to determine their podium positions. \nThere will be no studio audience for the debate\, which will be held in Atlanta on June 27. \nThe debate will be moderated by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. \nCNN also said that a condition for participation in the debate is that the candidates must obtain at least 15 percent in four separate national polls from a list provided by the network\, and that they must appear on a sufficient number of state ballots to be able to reach the 270 electoral vote threshold needed for a candidate to win the race for the White House. \nThe network said it’s “not impossible” for independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to meet these conditions.
